      Fabio Cannavaro is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world. The centre back made his debut in Serie A for Napoli on 7 March 1993. After the 1994/1995 season he moved to Parma where he won the UEFA Cup, the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup in 1999. Cannavaro played in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 1998 FIFA World Cup France™. He was also a member of the Italian team that lost the EURO 2000 final against France.
