I Inter Turned Down A Lot Of Offers For Me - Cannavaro

Italian International defender Fabio Cannavaro has attibuted his dominant form form both club and country
of late to the vote of confidence he received form Inter in that they resisted the temptation to sell him despite a less than
stellar debut season for them last year.
"The club received a lot of offers but they turned them all down," said the former Parma star. "This demonstrates that the
side have great faith in my ability. This has undoubtedly provided a real stimulus for me in the new season."
Cannavaro had been linked to both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the summer.

Cannavaro, Says Buffon

Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon says that the club are quite capable of fighting for honours without signing
the likes of Alessandro Nesta or Fabio Cannavaro.The pair, especially the latter, have repeatedly been linked with a move to
the Delle Alpi over the summer months."I think we are strong enough already," said Buffon. "As a goalkeeper I feel that I'll
be protected by the players in front of me on the field."Maybe if either Nesta or Cannavaro had arrived we would have had to
sell another big player and that would have been sad."Against an Inter side with Nesta, we would still feel very
